Registered Mental Health Nurse - Regional Rehabilitation Inpatient unit

Service: Regional Rehabilitation Services

Contract: Full time / permanent rostered and rotating

Salary: $75,773.00 - $106,739.00 Salary Step MECA

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

Tawhirimatea is 29 bed safe care facility rehabilitation unit for up to 29 people within Te Korowai Whariki’s Rehabilitation Service. This is a regional innovative supportive service working with tangata whaiora in supporting their journey with a multi-disciplinary team approach.

We advocate for best practice, sharing of ideas, and the continuum of change management processes to align with our vision.

Moū – About you

You will need to be able to work collaboratively within a team; be able to support Mental Health Support Workers (MHSW) under your direction and delegation; carry out and assist MHSW’s to undertake care activities.

You will bring your active listening skills, solution focus approach to fostering tangata whaiora to achieve their identified goals within their pathway journey. You will have the ability to take on new learning where required to support your role within the team as well as good communication skills with your team members, tangata whaiora and whānau. You will be proactive in ensuring all nursing led documentation reflects a person centred approach and promotes the enhancement of independence. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of clinicians who are committed to promoting excellent public relations through positive interactions with tangata whaiora, whānau and their communities. Current NZ Annual practising certificate is required for this role.
