The Let’s get talking toolkit consists of seven tools and is intended for use by leaders, managers, therapists and practitioners across primary and secondary health care services.

This tool assists services to establish or extend talking therapies delivery using the Getting it right workforce planning method. It guides services through the six steps of workforce planning.
The planning tables within the tool are also available as a Word template to download and use.
This tool supports services to identify workforce capacity and capability to deliver evidence-based talking therapies
Part A asks practitioners to self-assess their knowledge and skills in talking therapies.
Part B asks practitioners about current talking therapies delivery in order to identify strengths and areas for development.

This tool provides assessment and screening guidance for practitioners to match people to levels of talking therapy, within a stepped care approach. It also provides information on review of therapy progress.

This tool provides information on the evidence base for various talking therapies. It also provides examples of current evidence of talking therapies with Māori, Pasifika and Asian people, and refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants. The second part of the tool provides an overview of brief interventions and the evidence base.
